Android 4.4 KitKat has been unwrapped

If you like chocolate and the latest Android operating system then things are looking your way. Google has just unwrapped the latest version of the
OS codenamed KitKat named after the popular candy bar that the developers snacked on while working on the newest version of Android.
Android 4.4 KitKat boasts improvements over the older versions of the operating system such as full voice control and faster multitasking.
It can also use Google Maps to guess on who is calling you if they don’t have caller ID. Also included is the ability to print using Google Cloud Print or HP's ePrint system.
Google has said that KitKat will be able to run on more devices since the hardware requirements are lower than with previous versions of the OS.
The first smartphone to come shipped with KitKat will be the Google Nexus 5 mobe which will be made by LG and has a
Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor running at 2.3GHz with 2GB of RAM. But it appears that only higher end devices like the
Samsung Galaxy S4 will be getting upgraded. The lower hardware requirements may help with fragmentation since cheaper devices will be able to run
Android 4.4 so many new phones will be able to ship with it out of the box.
If you are going to be in the market for a new high end smartphone then the Nexus 5 will come in 2 versions.
There will be a 16GB version for $349 or the 32GB version and $399. The Nexus will feature a 5 inch 1920x1080 pixel display, 1.3Mp front facing camera and an 8Mp rear camera,
and be one of the slimmest and lightest phones yet
