With Google Editions now has a new camera app was introduced, which has a few small changes that we actually expected only with Android 4.3.
Apparently Google thought but these changes already in Android 4.2.2 to integrate, but initially only for the already mentioned Google Editions.
The new camera app you can already download and use that even works on "older devices" with Android 4.1.
Also, the photo Sphere function can be used, as I myself have just tried with my Xperia SP.
